At AXT Turbo, we are happy to liaise with your engine builder, to create a system matching your specific high performance engine's requirements. Many people over-look this step, and end up with a turbocharger flowing at it's optimum well over or below the camshaft operational specifications. This results in very poor power delivery, where surging, lag and poor drivability become very apparent. Having the detailed engine specifications ensures that your turbocharger will be optimal for your engine, providing the best torque and horsepower delivery. In a drag car , this can equate to a huge reduction is 60ft times, faster passes and better terminal velocity. Better power delivery also will reduce shock loading on the rest of the drive-train, increasing the overall reliability.
At AXT Turbo, we can custom make all types of manifold, from standard interference log type designs, to all out race spec equal length runner or port tuned designs.
For standard engine power-ups, AXT Turbo can design and build systems to provide increased torque , power and economy. As a turbocharger increases engine efficiency, by positively filling the combustion chambers, even low-boost turbo set-ups can provide fantastic torque increases, without any major effect in economy.
